Prayers Answered....

For those of you following Luke's story, this is a post that will bring you HOPE and renew your faith.  I know it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.  And, I have watched it about a million times since 3:30 today.  God hears our prayers and HEALS in His time.  Watch the video below.  This is from today at OT.  LEFTY WORKS...wow!

Luke hasn't been able to move LEFTY at all....since December!  And, today, he did!  He cried and said it was hard and he didn't want to play anymore.  But, then he kept trying.  And, he moved LEFTY.  This is such a HUGE answered prayer.  Thank you to everyone who has BELIEVED in Luke from the beginning, but most of all, prayed with us everyday.  God is answering our prayers day by day - "reach by reach."

I cried like a baby!  But, lefty moved!  Luke was so proud and I was too!  Words can't express how amazing this moment was...I have been refreshed, renewed, and recharged!  We will continue to push forward.

It's amazing how much JOY you can receive from such small gifts - putting a toy in the castle...I will remember this moment FOREVER.

Thank you, Lord, for showing Yourself today at therapy.   It was Your strength that Luke had to reach and "play."  May YOU get all the glory in ALL things even toys in castles.  Thank you, Father, for continuing to work through our family.  We love and praise Your Holy Name!  Amen

Wonderful confirmation that, as my Mom always said, "if God is willing, it doesn't matter if the creek rises.." She was right.. it doesn't matter what the obstacles are or appear to be, God can work miracles any day, any place, any time. We are so thankful for this wonderful confirmation of His strength, love, grace and power. We anxiously and faithfully anticipate the wonderful miracles that are to come for Luke and you all.

God bless.

Hey Brandi I just wanted you to know I was SOOOOO ENCOURAGED...my grandmother was a PICTURE of health about 6 years ago-strong as an ox-never a broken bone...she suddenly contracted Encephalitis and went into a coma...unresponsive-period....I would go in the ICU and read scripture to her ERVERYDAY, because they said that it would help her brain function...it was a while she was in there-with nothing...and I would go in there and just sit and read...days and hours passed...but to know avail...I was getting ready one morning and I had a sense of expectancy in my spirit, like the Lord is going to move today...I walked in as I did everyday-all alone and the first thing i would do would be to rub the bottom of her foot really deep...there was never a response...makes me emotional just going back through the memory...but when I did...she wiggled her toes...I FREAKED OUT>>>>>Hysterical>>>>>>I went up to her and was talking to her and for the first time since she went into the coma-she would moan ever so faintly-so faint-when I would ask her a question...it took a little while but the elation of the progression...was almost too much...she has always been like a mother to me and it was the closest person I had ever almost lost...it was tragic to our whole family...but to JESUS be the glory-to this day she does NOT remember a thing -but it has been a LONG road-but SO REWARDING seeing her now holding my children in her arms and laughing and playing basketball with them in the driveway...when she first came out of it...the doctors were saying that she would never improve she would only be in like a hazed state and shuffle around-she would only digress...FAR FROM THE TRUTH...she defied all doctors-it was breathtaking...she now drives as well...it is AMAZING the healing power of Jesus...but alot of times it is the baby steps...it only INCREASES you faith in Him-keeps you in anticipation and total dependence-but OH IT'S THE SWEETEST TIMES...I would love to go back sometimes because the Lords presence was SO STRONG...so, this is the reason I wanted to set up the Benefit for Luke-WE ;) I just really felt a compassion and expectancy for him...and I wanted you to know...it wasn't my child, but it was my grandmother-that basically had a death wish BUT THE LORD-showed himself mighty-SO MIGHTY AND JEHOVAH RAPHA…
Praying,
Les Lea

PRAISE THE LORD! I read the following devotional this morning from Anne Graham Lotz and immediately thought of you. I copied it to send you and then I get on your site and read this awesome praise of God's glory! He is an on-time God!

A Showcase for God's Glory
You have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith . . . maybe found to praise, honor, and glory.

1 Peter 1:6-7, NKJV

Jesus described the powerful witness of a life that is different when He illustrated it as "the light of the world" (Matt. 5:14). The primary value of light is that it is so different from the darkness. When Jesus then informed His disciples that "you will be my witnesses," (Acts 1:8) it was clear that one primary value of the apostles' witness would lie in the difference of their lives from those who lived around them.

A witness that is lived can be as powerful as one that is spoken. It's not what you say but who you are that catches the attention of those around you-which is one reason God allows grievances, crises, sufferings, injustice, and hardship to come into our lives. Because problems offer us the opportunity to give silent, relevant witness to the difference faith in God can make. The problems enable us to become a showcase so that the world can look into our lives and see the glory of God revealed.

Blessings,

Anne Graham Lotz
