Seeking 30!

The next 30 days are HUGE for Luke.  Without a lot of deal, we are seeking AT LEAST 30 people to commit to praying for Luke for the next 30 days (one person per day); however, we would LOVE 30 million.  Big decisions will take place in 30 days that will change Luke’s life forever.   I am seeking prayer warriors.  I know this posting doesn’t allow for a lot of detail, but God knows all the details surrounding this prayer request. Our family will be happy to share more information after 30 days, but for now, if God is tugging at your heart to pray for Luke for 30 days, will you?

People ask our family all the time, “how can we help?”  Here it is … you can pray with us; for us.

30 days … for Luke.

If you know prayer warriors (people who pray without ceasing; without doubt; people who pray even without us asking), can you PLEASE pass along this posting?  Can you share this posting on your Facebook page, so that every willing person will pray for sweet Luke.

30 days … for Luke.

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the FatherJohn 14:13

I send all my prayers to Luke. He is a very cute boy and i hope, he make many new steps. I read Luke`s story since the beginning. And my heart was broken, when i started to read. But i think positiv and i think, with love and help from the family, Luke can do a lot more things when the time comes. I love the saying "Good things come to those who wait." It is hard to wait , but you need time and all the power and only a little step is a great thing to celebrate ! And i hope, that he make a lot new steps. He has power and a great family!

Many many greetings, hugs , prayers and power from me and my family .

We will certainly pray for Luke as well. We had our own "moment" with our now 13 year old son in early 2011. I sit here and wonder if we walked the halls of WCH together at that time. After many months of testing and decline, to the point where our son could not attend school or walk many days, experienced over 40 symptoms (primarily neurological), we finally discovered that he had late stage neurological Lyme Disease, along with several other co-infections. Like you, we also travelled out of state for answers, but were still lost. We had previously inquired about Lyme Disease, but were told that Lyme is very rare in Jacksonville, he did not have a rash, and had not recently travelled to an endemic area. We practically had to beg for Lyme testing. We were told that the Lyme tests were very accurate. All of this advice was flat out wrong. His very large team of doctors all missed Lyme Disease. Finally, in January 2012, we had a Lyme specialist review our son's Western Blot that was "negative" pursuant to the CDC's surveillance criteria (that was never intended for diagnosis). We learned that he had species specific positive bands that were highly indicative of Lyme (along with his 40+ symptoms). Through treatment with Lyme knowledgable doctors (locally and in the NE), our son was well enough to return to school full time in the fall, and is currently at crew practice. He is still recovering (in large part due to the delays in diagnosis by his specialists at Nemours and WCH), but is so close to being completely better. Lyme can cause seizures, encephalitis and many of the other symptoms you described here. I have spent countless hours researching for my son, and would be happy to guide you in any way I can. You may contact me at my email address for more information. Praying for answers for you and your sweet son. I feel your pain, and pray that some day, I can also share your joy when your sweet Luke recovers.

Brandi, I have always been on the fence about God and His plan. But I believe Luke will receive miracle, after miracle. Although it does appear to be a long road, I pray with all my might that Luke will receive more miracles and will recover from this infliction. And your Luke is there. I believe Luke will smile again without pain or worry. God bless you. We bless you. With all my love, Lisa C.
